Abstract

There is a growing interest among students in entrepreneurship education in higher education. As centres of education, research and knowledge management, higher education institutions can provide a wide range of formal and informal learning opportunities to develop entrepreneurial mindsets and skills. The aim of the study is twofold. Firstly, to identify the main trends in the development of entrepreneurship education through a qualitative comparative analysis of domestic and international entrepreneurship and innovation master programmes by learning objectives, programme structures, curricula and learning activities of master programmes. On the other hand, the study seeks to contribute to the existing knowledge base of entrepreneurship competence analysis by exploring the perception of entrepreneurship competence. The relative importance and patterns of entrepreneurial skills and competences were determined using Q-methodology. The results of this research can provide valuable inputs for higher education institutions to provide diverse learning opportunities for developing entrepreneurial mindsets and skills.
