A materializmus, boldogság, siker és élményfogyasztás összefüggéseinek vizsgálata tinédzserek körében

A materializmus, vagyis az anyagias attitűd azt fejezi ki, hogy mennyire fontosak és milyen szerepet játszanak a birtokolt, vagy birtokolni kívánt anyagi javak valakinek az életében. A néhány évtizedes múltra visszatekintő anyagiasságkutatások a materializmusnak szinte minden előzmény- és függő változóját feltárták, a kapcsolatok irányát bizonyították. Az elmúlt években előtérbe került a boldogsággal, a sikerrel, az élmény- és státuszfogyasztással való összefüggések vizsgálata. A kutatások jelentős része azonban kvantitatív módszertannal készül, ami nem alkalmas a mélyebb, szemantikai és pszichológiai jelentések feltérképezésére. Jelen tanulmány fotókollázs és szabad asszociációs módszer alkalmazásával végzett kutatás eredményeit mutatja be, arra keresve a választ, hogy a tinédzserek életében milyen szerepet játszanak az anyagi javak és a pénz, a boldogságérzet, a siker, vagy az élmények gyarapításában?
