Jelen vélemény Herman Daly társadalmi metabolizmusról papírra vetett megjegyzéseit elemzi egy hazai kutató szemszögéből. Tanulmányomban a társadalmi metabolizmus által kitűnően vizsgálható két, időszerűnek tartott kérdést emelem ki, egyrészt a környezeti problémák átterhelését, másrészt pedig a gazdasági növekedés és az ökológiai rendszer viszonyát.
This commentary examines Herman Daly’s view of material throughput through the lens of a Hungarian research practitioner. This contribution emphasizes two issues with excellent potential for examination within the frame of throughput: the trade-off between specific ecological problems on the one hand, and the interconnectedness of economic growth and the ecosystem on the other.
