Abstract

Today, as the world is increasingly focused on sustainable development goals, the protection of the environment is also receiving an increased attention. Companies in different industries are involved to different degrees in this topic, but it can be said that, to some extent, every business activity – tourism also – has negative environmental impact. The aim of this study is to examine the extent to which guests in hotels tolerate the use of various green, environmentally conscious devices and the extent to which the guest experience is damaged during such use. Our research also looks at whether guests are supportive of achieving the sustainable development goals at the cost of damage to the guest experience. Secondary research is used to map the theoretical background of the study, supplemented by the presentation of previous research results on the topic. In the primary research phase the results of our analysis of a sample of 204 people are presented.
