A filmturizmus gyökerei és lehetőségei Északkelet-Magyarország, különösen Tokaj-Hegyalja és a Bodrogköz kulturális turizmusában

Abstract

Starting from the 19th century, numerous film professionals, studio founders, directors, cinematographers, film composers, actors and influential figures in the film industry emigrated from Hungary—and particularly from Northeast Hungary—in search of a better life, primarily to the United States. The founders of two major Hollywood studios, Paramount Pictures and Twentieth Century Fox—Adolph Zukor and William Fox—were both Hungarian-born emigrants who moved to the USA toward the end of the 19th century. This study presents the relevance and potential of filmtourism in this corner of Hungary, focusing on Adolph Zukor, born and raised in Ricse (Northeast Hungary, Hungarian Bodrogköz Region), and William Fox born in Tolcsva, located in the region’s World Heritage Tokaj Wine Region. It also highlights the Hungarian Hollywood Council, established to preserve our cinematic roots and heritage, while taking into account the Hungarian favourable film laws and film festivals and filmparks in the region.
