Based on the literature review, the study focuses on the shift in which noise can even be used as an environmental resource. Noise energy can now be viewed as a clean, green, renewable source for electricity, which has become available mainly with the development of microelectronics and materials science. The novelty of the present research is that it views noise utilisation as a "derived demand" in the traditional economic sense. And although the potential for noise energy production is inherently limited by the effectiveness of noise reduction, the sustainability goal for the sound environment should still be to balance the acceptable noise level with the desired noise energy production.
